Neova Sigorta Earns Fitch Upgrade as Global Insurance Ambitions Accelerate

Neova Sigorta has achieved a notable improvement in its international financial standing after Fitch Ratings raised its International Financial Strength rating from B+ to BB-. This development reflects the insurer’s resilient capital base, consistent profitability and improving financial results, while also signaling stronger confidence in its long-term strategy.

Alongside the international upgrade, Fitch also increased the company’s National Insurance Financial Strength rating from A+ (tur) to AA- (tur). The assessment pointed to a well-diversified business mix, disciplined financial management and a performance profile that has gained strength in recent years. Support from its majority shareholder, Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank, together with an effective risk management framework, also played an important role in the positive revision.

Stronger Financial Profile Backed by Strategic Progress

The latest rating action highlights more than balance sheet strength alone. It also underlines market confidence in Neova Sigorta’s sustainable growth model and its ability to maintain financial resilience in line with international standards. The upgrade serves as a clear signal that the company is reinforcing both stability and credibility at a broader global level.

As part of its wider expansion strategy, Neova Sigorta has recently taken steps to deepen its presence in the international insurance environment. The company has expanded its relationships with Lloyd’s, one of the most influential centers of the global insurance and reinsurance market. It also reached a new stage in its international development by joining the International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA), an organization that brings together leading credit and political risk insurers worldwide.

Through this membership, the insurer is positioned to benefit from greater knowledge exchange, stronger alignment with international market practices and broader collaboration opportunities. At the same time, this move enhances Neova Sigorta’s ability to represent the Turkish insurance sector on global platforms and strengthens its role within the wider industry network.

Management Emphasizes Trust and Long-Term Vision

Neslihan Neciboğlu, Managing Director of Neova Sigorta, described the revised national and international ratings as an important reflection of the company’s overall approach. According to her, the decision by Fitch Ratings demonstrates not only solid financial performance, but also the value of sustainable growth, a robust capital structure and disciplined risk management.

She stated that the upgrade reinforces the confidence offered to customers, business partners and all stakeholders, while marking a meaningful point in the company’s long-term journey. Neciboğlu also emphasized that Neova Sigorta is continuing its strong momentum in Turkey while building a more visible role in the global insurance ecosystem through its ICISA membership, partnerships with Lloyd’s and efforts to enter international markets.

By combining financial strength with international cooperation, Neova Sigorta aims to create lasting value for both the insurance sector and the broader economy.
