A delegation from the Turkish Insurance Association met with Fulya Uysal Güler, President of the Turkish Notaries’ Association, to discuss how vehicle registration and licence information can be shared with the insurance sector in a more effective and secure manner. The meeting centred on building a sustainable data exchange structure that can better support industry operations.
Representing the Turkish Insurance Association were President Ahmet Yaşar, Vice-Presidents Fahri Uğur and Ayhan Sincek, Deputy Secretary-General Ahmet Gökdağ, and Senior Legal Adviser Alper Can Eroğlan. During the visit, both sides evaluated the value of stronger institutional cooperation and the role of reliable data access in improving insurance services.
Why Data Infrastructure Matters for the Insurance Sector
The discussions highlighted that a stronger data-sharing infrastructure could play an important role in advancing digital transformation across the insurance industry. Access to accurate vehicle registration and licensing records can help companies process information more quickly while reducing operational friction in daily workflows.
It was also emphasised that improved access to this data would support faster claims handling, more accurate policy procedures, and greater operational efficiency. In turn, these gains could enhance the quality of service delivered to policyholders and contribute to a more responsive insurance ecosystem.
The Turkish Insurance Association stated its intention to continue developing partnerships with public institutions and sector stakeholders. Through such cooperation, the organisation aims to strengthen data-sharing mechanisms, support digitalisation efforts, and help ensure that policyholders receive more effective and reliable service.
