Anadolu Sigorta Expands Motor Insurance Protection with 15 Million TL Non-Pecuniary Damage Cover

Anadolu Sigorta has broadened the protection offered under its comprehensive motor insurance by strengthening coverage against major compensation risks linked to traffic accidents. Alongside its unlimited Optional Financial Liability cover, the company has raised the limit for non-pecuniary damages to 15 million TL for policies issued from 25 June onward.

This revised structure is designed to give policyholders stronger financial security in situations where accidents lead not only to vehicle damage or medical costs, but also to substantial legal claims from injured parties or their families. In serious cases involving severe injury or loss of life, court-awarded compensation for emotional suffering can reach very high amounts, making broader protection increasingly important.

Why the increased cover matters

After a road traffic accident, financial responsibility may extend far beyond repair expenses and treatment bills. Individuals harmed in the accident, or their relatives, may seek compensation for pain, grief, and emotional distress through legal action. These claims can create a significant financial burden for drivers found responsible.

To address this growing need, Anadolu Sigorta has increased its non-pecuniary damages cover from 5 million TL to 15 million TL. This enhancement complements the company’s existing unlimited Optional Financial Liability protection and creates a more robust safeguard against high-value third-party compensation claims arising from the policyholder’s negligence.

A stronger policy structure for changing risks

With this update, Anadolu Sigorta is adapting its comprehensive motor insurance product to reflect changing living conditions and the rising legal liabilities associated with modern traffic accidents. The revised coverage framework is intended to offer more durable and sustainable protection in an environment where compensation expectations continue to increase.

Applicable to new comprehensive motor insurance policies issued from 25 June, the new arrangement reinforces the company’s focus on responsive insurance solutions. By tripling the limit for non-pecuniary damages, Anadolu Sigorta is giving policyholders a significantly stronger shield against severe compensation claims that may emerge after accidents involving third parties.
