Certified motor insurance aligned with European sustainability standards
Allianz Türkiye aims to reduce environmental impact not just through its own operations, but also through the solutions it offers policyholders. After redesigning processes across actuarial systems, claims management, customer communication, and supply chain practices, the company earned Türkiye’s first sustainable product certification for a motor insurance policy that meets both the EU Taxonomy framework and the Allianz Group Sustainable Value Creation Model.
Built in harmony with the goals of the European Green Deal, this insurance product follows the standards of the EU Taxonomy, a comprehensive classification system developed to guide sustainable finance. Through this step, Allianz Türkiye is helping shape higher sustainability benchmarks in the insurance market.
End-to-end support for electric vehicle owners
To encourage the shift toward low-carbon transportation, Allianz Türkiye offers specialized Electric Vehicle Comprehensive Insurance with features tailored to the realities of electric mobility. The Comprehensive Electric and Branded Electric packages extend protection beyond conventional motor insurance by covering the vehicle battery, portable charging cable, adaptor, and wall-mounted home or workplace charging units without excess in cases involving accidents, theft, or rodent-related damage.
The cover also responds to technology-related risks through Cyber Security protection. This includes damages linked to current or voltage fluctuations during charging as well as software-related vulnerabilities that connected vehicles may encounter. In another first for Türkiye, drivers whose battery level falls to 15 percent or below can benefit from an On-the-Spot Charging Service, where mobile charging vehicles provide emergency support and help them continue safely to the nearest charging station.

He underlined the company’s pride in delivering the Turkish insurance sector’s first sustainably certified motor insurance product compliant with EU Taxonomy principles, while also offering broad ecosystem protection for electric vehicle users. He further noted that paperless digital policy processes, extreme weather early warning systems, and lower-emission service models such as on-site repair all contribute to protecting both customers and the planet.
Lower emissions through repair-focused assistance services
Allianz Türkiye also supports the circular economy through environmentally conscious assistance services included in its comprehensive motor insurance offering. With 24/7 on-site repair assistance available across all 81 provinces, specialist teams can handle minor mechanical issues, tyre replacement, and windscreen repairs directly at the location, avoiding unnecessary towing to repair shops.
By favoring repair over replacement and reducing service vehicle traffic, this model helps lower carbon emissions while also conserving operational resources. Less towing, fewer replacement parts, and faster intervention together create a more efficient and more sustainable insurance service model.
