Willis Expands FINEX North America Leadership to Advance Cyber Strategy and Client Focus

Willis, a WTW business, has introduced three senior appointments within FINEX North America as it continues to enhance its cyber capabilities and deepen client engagement across the region. The leadership changes are designed to support the firm’s strategic priorities as cyber risk grows more complex for organizations throughout the U.S., Canada and Bermuda.

At the center of the announcement is Annice Ma, who has been named Head of Cyber for FINEX North America. She will guide the overall direction of the cyber practice while managing its daily operations across key markets in North America. Her appointment reflects Willis’ focus on strengthening leadership in an area that remains increasingly important to clients.

Ma brings more than ten years of experience in cyber-focused leadership positions. She joined Willis in October 2025 as FINEX North America Growth Leader, where she was responsible for shaping expansion plans across all Financial Lines segments. Before that, she spent a decade at Marsh McLennan, serving in roles such as Senior Vice President in the Cyber Practice and West Zone Regional Leader.

Rob Barberi has also taken on a newly established role as FINEX North America Client Engagement Leader. In this position, he will oversee client engagement initiatives across FINEX and help coordinate strategic priorities among different business lines. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Barberi will continue to serve in his existing role as Chief Client Officer within the Willis Cyber practice.

A further appointment sees Charles Leonard named FINEX North America Cyber Strategy & Execution Leader, another newly created position. He will collaborate with regional leadership teams to put strategy into action across the client portfolio, expand solutions for middle-market clients and support the ongoing development of Willis’ digital cyber experience.

Before stepping into this new post, Leonard served as Southeast Region Cyber Leader. Prior to joining Willis, he worked as an underwriter at Markel and also spent 10 years serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, bringing a broad background of operational and insurance expertise to the role.

Commenting on the appointments, Mike Machin, Head of FINEX North America, said the moves demonstrate the strength of the company’s cyber business and its ongoing commitment to leadership, innovation and client service. He added that Annice Ma, Rob Barberi and Charles Leonard each offer deep expertise and a strong dedication to helping clients navigate an evolving cyber risk environment.
