The presidential election was concluded at the 72nd General Assembly of the Turkish Insurance Association. Following the vote, Ahmet Yaşar, Chairman of the Maher Holding Insurance Group, was elected President of the Turkish Insurance Association with 30 votes.
As the vote was very close, the count was carried out a second time under the supervision of the presiding committee. It was announced that the results remained unchanged following the second count.
According to the official results shared by the presiding committee, Ahmet Yaşar received 30 votes, whilst Erol Öztürkoğlu, General Manager of HDI Fibaemeklilik, received 29 votes. Kantürk Öztürk, General Manager of Ana Sigorta, received 3 votes, and Oğuz Karahançer, General Manager of Referans Sigorta, received 5 votes.
