Ahmet Yaşar, Vice President of the Turkish Insurance Association and a candidate for president, emphasized that the sector has come together around common goals during the election process, stating, “The winners will be our sector and our country.”
Ahmet Yaşar, Chairman of the Maher Holding Insurance Group and Vice President of the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB), shared his thoughts on the TSB presidential election process via his social media accounts. Noting that the election, in which he is a candidate, has now reached its final stage, Yaşar extended his best wishes for success to all candidates.
Noting that the most striking aspect throughout the process was the unity and solidarity within the sector, Yaşar emphasized that despite differing views and priorities, actions were taken with a shared sense of responsibility. Noting that the insurance sector possesses the ability to compete while also acting in unison, Yaşar described this structure as a significant strength.
Stating that the greatest gain of the election process was this spirit of solidarity, Yaşar drew attention to the important goals ahead for the sector. He noted that reducing protection gaps in Turkey, increasing the inclusivity of insurance, and establishing a more resilient economic structure are among the top priorities.
Yaşar noted that this responsibility is already part of his current role and stated that the primary motivation for his candidacy is to take on this responsibility more strongly. He explained that the elections signify not merely a change in leadership but also the handover of the banner to the team that will carry this responsibility forward.
Yaşar added that regardless of the election outcome, the winner will be the insurance sector and Turkey, emphasizing that all stakeholders form a large family working toward common goals.
