TSB Strengthens Turkey’s Voice at Europe’s Key Insurance Gatherings in Brussels

The Turkish Insurance Association (TSB) took part in the 16th International Insurance Conference organised by Insurance Europe, alongside meetings hosted by the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA), bringing Turkey’s insurance perspective into major international discussions. Held in Brussels, these gatherings convened senior figures from across the global insurance community to examine the sector’s most pressing priorities and future direction.

Representing the association, Deputy Secretary-General Aysun Yıldız and Retirement, Research and Strategy Coordinator İlhan Tekinarslan engaged with industry stakeholders and followed the latest global developments closely. Their participation enabled the Turkish insurance sector to contribute its views on issues shaping international insurance policy and market evolution.

Key Topics Steering the Sector

The conference agenda covered a broad set of strategic themes, including financial stability, the changing risk environment, Europe’s position in the world economy, sustainable pension models, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence and digitalisation on insurance operations. Through panels and high-level exchanges, participants evaluated both the opportunities and the challenges emerging across these areas.

These discussions offered an important setting for assessing how insurers can respond to economic transformation, technological change, and long-term social needs. The event also reinforced the value of international cooperation in addressing shared concerns across markets.

Turkey’s Role in International Insurance Dialogue

During the programme, the TSB delegation met with global counterparts and strengthened its engagement with international institutions. This presence helped ensure that the priorities and perspectives of the Turkish insurance sector were represented effectively on the international stage.

The association also expressed appreciation to Frédéric de Courtois, President of Insurance Europe; Stephen Frank, President of the GFIA; Thea Utoft Høj Jensen, Secretary General of Insurance Europe; and the teams of Insurance Europe and GFIA for their role in delivering the events successfully.

TSB reaffirmed its commitment to remaining actively involved in the global dialogue that is shaping the future of insurance and to representing Turkey as effectively as possible across international platforms.
