Insurance Izmir 2026 to Unite the Sector at Fuar Izmir in June

Insurance Izmir – Insurance Stakeholders’ Cooperation Fair and Summit is scheduled to be held at Fuar Izmir from 11 to 13 June 2026, bringing together a wide spectrum of participants from across the insurance ecosystem. The event is designed as a meeting point for insurers, agents, brokers, loss adjusters, assistance companies, public institutions and emerging industry actors seeking stronger collaboration and new business opportunities.

Set in one of Turkey’s most historically significant commercial cities, the fair and summit will create a focused environment for sector representatives to expand their networks, increase brand visibility and exchange ideas on the direction of the industry. The programme is also expected to reinforce Izmir’s position as a city with a deep-rooted connection to the development of insurance in the region.

Institutional backing and sector-wide participation

Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK), the organisation is supported by major professional and commercial institutions. Among the supporting bodies are the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB), the Insurance Agents Executive Committee (SAİK), the Insurance Experts Executive Committee (SEİK), the Izmir Chamber of Commerce (İZTO) and the Aegean Region Industrialists’ Association (EBSO).

Hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organised by IZFAŞ, the event will be carried out with the support of IUC Events as event partner. With prominent companies and institutions expected to attend, the fair will offer direct access to insurance firms, reinsurance companies, insurtech ventures and public-sector representatives. This structure is intended to encourage productive dialogue and the formation of new commercial partnerships.

Izmir’s historic role in insurance

Izmir has long been recognised as one of the pioneering centres of modern insurance development in Anatolia. Its identity as a major port city and its historically strong trade connections helped position it as an important location for the growth of maritime insurance and broader insurance practices.

As commerce and transportation expanded over time, the city became increasingly influential in the evolution of the sector. By hosting this fair and summit, Izmir is not only welcoming industry leaders but also reaffirming its historical place within the insurance landscape.

Topics shaping the future of the industry

The summit sessions to be organised during the event will focus on key issues affecting the future of insurance. Discussions are expected to cover digital transformation, disaster and risk management, health insurance, mobility solutions and other current developments influencing the market.

Beyond being a trade fair, the event is positioned as a forward-looking platform for sectoral dialogue. By bringing stakeholders together in one setting, Insurance Izmir 2026 aims to support innovation, strengthen cooperation and contribute to the creation of lasting professional connections across the industry.
