Abdülcelil Alkış, President of the Turkish Platform of Entrepreneurial Agents (TÜGAP), attended the Insurance İzmir – Insurance Stakeholders Cooperation Fair and Summit, one of the insurance sector’s key events, and met with industry representatives. Alkış, who held meetings with numerous agents, company executives and industry stakeholders during the fair, stated that such events offer important opportunities for the development of the insurance profession.
Alkış noted that events bringing together the various components of the insurance sector under one roof strengthen professional solidarity, adding that current issues faced by agents in particular, along with proposed solutions, can be discussed more effectively on these platforms. Emphasising that trade fairs and summits play a significant role in fostering a collective vision for the sector’s future, Alkış noted that the work they are undertaking to strengthen the agency profession will continue uninterrupted.
Throughout the fair, TÜGAP President Alkış held one-to-one meetings with insurance agents from various regions of Turkey, giving him the opportunity to listen to their requests and expectations. Alkış, who conducted comprehensive assessments of the agents’ professional challenges, the transformation process underway in the sector, and their expectations for the future, stated that his colleagues’ views were of great importance to them.
Alkış, noting that the agency profession is the cornerstone of the insurance sector, stated: “We will resolutely continue our efforts to ensure our profession achieves the status it deserves and that our agencies develop a stronger and more sustainable structure. We will continue to engage in dialogue with all sections of the sector and work towards finding joint solutions.”
