The tournament, which was attended by a total of 64 professionals—25 from the insurance, reinsurance and brokerage sectors and 39 from the domestic sector—also brought together around 200 industry representatives. During the three-day event, alongside sporting activities, opportunities for networking and collaboration among industry professionals were also highlighted.
The tournament title was won by the pair of Fatih Ağacık (VHV Sigorta) and Frederick Schöneich (New Re), whilst the duo of İsmail Çelik (Ex-Bupa Acıbadem) and Damien Smith (Inigo Insurance) finished second. In the semi-finals, the teams of Candoğan Orlu (SGR İstanbul) and Alex Wort (Guy Carpenter) faced off against Uğur Biroğlu (Nasco Türkiye) and Volkan Yüksel (Sigortamnet). The winners of the Surprise Tournament were Mehmet Başar (Addvalora Global) and Sercan Başar (Marsh Brokerlik).
Fikret Utku Özdemir, General Manager of Millî Reasürans, noted that the organisation brings together various stakeholders in the sector in an atmosphere of sport, friendship and solidarity, and stated that the tournament has become an important tradition in the insurance sector.
Following the first day of the tournament, a cocktail reception was held at the Miltaş Sports Complex, whilst on the evening of the second day, a dinner was hosted by Gallagher Re at the Moda Yacht Club. The event concluded on Sunday with an awards ceremony and a closing cocktail reception.
