Insurance Izmir, the Insurance Stakeholders Cooperation Fair and Summit, will be held at Fuar Izmir between 11 and 13 June 2026, bringing together a broad spectrum of representatives from the insurance world in one major meeting point. The event is designed to connect insurance companies, agents, brokers, loss adjusters, assistance firms, reinsurers, insurtech initiatives and public institutions while encouraging stronger cooperation across the sector.
As a specialised gathering for the insurance industry, the fair will create opportunities for participants to strengthen visibility, build commercial relationships and follow the latest developments shaping the future of the market. It will also underline Izmir’s historic importance as one of the early centres of modern insurance development in Anatolia.
Broad Institutional Support for the Event
Organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK), the fair is backed by many of the sector’s well-established institutions. Support is being provided by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB), the Insurance Agents Executive Committee (SAİK), the Insurance Experts Executive Committee (SEİK), the Izmir Chamber of Commerce (İZTO) and the Aegean Region Industrialists’ Association (EBSO).
Hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organised by IZFAŞ with the contribution of IUC Events as event partner, the fair is expected to welcome leading institutions and companies from across the insurance ecosystem. This extensive cooperation reflects the event’s ambition to become a central platform for dialogue, partnership and sectoral growth.
Izmir’s Historic Role in Insurance
Izmir occupies a distinctive place in the history of insurance thanks to its long-standing identity as a port city and its strong international trade connections. As maritime commerce and transportation expanded, the city emerged as one of the earliest locations in Anatolia where modern insurance practices gained momentum.
Its commercial legacy continues to shape its relevance today, making Izmir a fitting host for a fair and summit focused on the future direction of the insurance industry. By bringing the sector to the city, the event also draws attention to this historical foundation and its continuing influence.
Summit Agenda Focused on the Future
The summit sessions taking place during the fair will explore a range of current and forward-looking issues, including digital transformation in insurance, disaster and risk management, health insurance, mobility solutions and other emerging developments affecting the sector. These discussions are intended to support knowledge sharing and encourage a more resilient and innovative industry outlook.
Beyond exhibition and networking opportunities, the event aims to foster new partnerships and strengthen communication among all insurance stakeholders. By combining business engagement with strategic discussion, Insurance Izmir 2026 is positioned to become an influential meeting point for the sector.
