With over 10 years’ industry experience in the insurance sector, Hasan Meral is recognised in his academic career for his research on insurance, individual pension schemes and consumer financial behaviour. Having held various roles in the insurance sector prior to moving into academia, Meral currently conducts research, training and consultancy activities aimed at the sector’s development under the umbrella of Sigorta Strateji, alongside his academic work.
Projects to be evaluated under the Smart-i Awards 2026 will be assessed across various dimensions, including technology, customer experience, operational efficiency, sustainability, partnerships and innovation. Hasan Meral’s combination of industry experience and academic perspective will make a significant contribution to the evaluation processes.
