AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, the Bermuda-based global insurer and reinsurer, has appointed Christina Geller as Head of Wholesale Financial Lines in North America. In this expanded leadership role, she will report to John Van Decker, Head of Global Financial Lines, while overseeing the strategic direction of AXIS’ North American wholesale commercial and financial institutions portfolio.
Her new responsibilities center on shaping and executing a plan for long-term profitable growth across the business. The appointment reflects AXIS’ focus on strengthening its wholesale financial lines platform in North America through experienced leadership and underwriting expertise.
Experienced Leadership Returns to a Broader Mandate
Geller brings deep familiarity with the company, having spent a combined 18 years in senior underwriting and leadership positions at AXIS. She first served with the organization from 2005 to 2012 and returned in 2013, continuing to build her career within the firm.
Before taking on this latest role, she served as Head of Wholesale Financial Institutions at AXIS. Her broader industry background also includes management liability underwriting positions at AIG and CNA Insurance, adding further depth to her leadership profile.
