Insurtech start-up ThingsHappen has closed a bridge investment round at a $3 million valuation, drawing support from Agito and existing investor Şirket Ortağım Angel Investment Network (SOBAN). The company will use the fresh capital to speed up commercialisation, deepen its insurance sector integrations, and broaden the reach of its artificial intelligence-powered growth infrastructure.
Operating at the intersection of insurance and customer experience technology, ThingsHappen is building digital tools that improve communication between insurers, brokers, agents, and policyholders. Its platform is designed to make policyholder interactions more personalised and commercially effective while helping industry players strengthen loyalty, improve cross-selling opportunities, and simplify policy management.
Strategic backing from insurance technology players
Agito, one of Turkey’s established insurance technology companies, joined the round as a strategic investor. The move reflects Agito’s intention to extend its current solutions beyond core insurance infrastructure and into the customer interaction layer, with a stronger focus on AI-supported transformation.
Agito CEO Mutlu Uğursal said the company has served the insurance sector with technology infrastructure for years and believes the artificial intelligence capabilities developed by ThingsHappen can play an important role in shaping the industry’s future.
From validation stage to commercial scale
According to founder Shahin Utar, the investment represents a major step in the company’s journey from product validation toward broader commercial expansion. He explained that ThingsHappen aims to reduce the complexity policyholders face when managing multiple insurance products, while also enabling brokers to unlock greater value from their existing customer relationships.
The company’s broader ambition is to modernise insurance workflows through AI while making policyholder engagement more seamless and productive. By combining digital convenience with revenue-focused customer management, ThingsHappen is positioning itself as a technology partner for the evolving insurance ecosystem.
SOBAN’s lead angel investor, Hasan Pehlivan, also reaffirmed confidence in the start-up by continuing to support the business. He noted that ThingsHappen has built the customer-centric infrastructure that the insurance sector has long needed and is now entering an important commercialisation phase.
With this latest funding, the company plans to accelerate expansion, strengthen integration capabilities, and continue developing AI-based technology that supports end-to-end insurance processes.
