With this update, policyholders can receive medical guidance around the clock through Dr. Allianz on the Allianz’ım mobile app and connect with specialist doctors remotely while travelling abroad.
Designed to support customers more effectively during their journeys, these newly introduced services apply to policies issued in the new period. The expanded coverage helps travellers handle unexpected health concerns quickly and securely, no matter where they are.
Digital medical support while abroad
Through the Allianz’ım mobile application, customers insured under Allianz Travel Health Insurance can now benefit from remote healthcare services outside their home country. Dr. Allianz 24/7 Medical Advice enables travellers to speak with medical professionals via video consultation at any hour. In addition, the Remote Doctor Consultation feature allows users to schedule an appointment in the app and have an online consultation with specialist physicians.
These specialist consultations cover areas such as General Medicine, ENT, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Each policyholder can use the remote specialist consultation service once during the policy period, offering added reassurance during international trips.
Broader protection beyond medical emergencies
Allianz Travel Health Insurance provides cover for sudden illnesses and unexpected medical situations during domestic and international travel, including visits to Turkey. The policy also includes assistance services that help make travel smoother and less stressful for customers.
In addition to health-related protection, the insurance covers risks such as lost luggage and trip cancellation. Since travel health insurance is often requested during visa applications, especially for Schengen and US visas, Allianz Turkey also offers an extra benefit: if a visa application is rejected, the policyholder may be reimbursed for the application fee up to 100 euros.
